PEI's Pain Management team recently hosted the PEI Pain Annual Cadaver Workshop designed for consultants, radiographers, registrars, nurses and physiotherapists in Pain Management. The event took place at the excellent, Pillar Centre of Education, at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital. This year's event was also supported by our Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) team.
Highlights of the day included ultrasound scanning stations in chronic pain intervention, focused on common joint injections and US guided nerve blocks. Additionally, participants attended the intrathecal pump management workshop, SCS skills cadaver station, RF Skills Cadaver station and SCS Pathways & E-tool station.
Workshops were complemented by Faculty-led presentations and an open-floor discussion. Faculty facilitating the workshop included:
